"I’ve always thought that if not all, then fair a proportion of the lyrics to John’s song ‘I know, I know’ were written with Paul in mind, perhaps some of it is directed to Yoko, but at this stage in 1973 John and Paul were very close after a year or so of fighting,
there is an interview with John by (Gag) Elliot Mintz from this time, where he talks very warmly of Paul, the Beatles and how he would be happy to work with them again, it’s just my thought’s but with conciliatary lyrics, that included the phrases “Yesterday” and “It’s getting better” I can’t help but feel Paul, the break up and how John acted and reacted were very much on his mind."
